Bodai Shido Ryu
- Bodai Shindo Ryu, which means The School of the Inherently Enlightened Heart/Mind/Spirit. The word Bodai means spiritual awakening, with Shin being used the same as Kokoro, which means spirit, heart, and mind.
- Defining inherently as part of the very nature of something and therefore permanently characteristic of it or necessarily involved in it, and enlightened as having a sound and open-minded understanding of all the facts, or based on such an understanding.
